About the position

The Associate Relationship Banker role at Webster is designed to provide exceptional service to Banking Center customers while assisting the team in achieving sales, service, and operational goals. This position involves processing customer financial transactions in compliance with banking regulations and guidelines, utilizing strong communication skills to understand customer needs, and fostering relationships to optimize sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customers' needs in an accurate and timely fashion, utilizing available resources and tools.
• Evaluate clients' needs and offer appropriate financial products and services through needs-based conversations to build and deepen relationships.
• Perform routine teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and other transactions.
• Achieve and exceed both individual and team goals in sales, service, and operations.
• Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures.
• Meet and exceed branch audits and operations evaluation requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required; candidates with advanced degrees (Associates and/or Bachelor's) preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years of job experience in cash handling and customer service; needs-based sales experience and banking experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule, including weekends and extended hours.
• Self-starter and highly motivated with a working knowledge of all products and services.
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills and the ability to support teamwork.

• Experience in needs-based sales and banking preferred.
