About The Position

The Bank of Plentywood is seeking a Bank Teller to serve customers by completing account transactions. This role involves providing account services, selling various financial products, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. The Bank Teller will also be responsible for cross-selling bank products, handling special requests, reconciling cash drawers and other transactions, and ensuring compliance with bank operations and security procedures. Maintaining customer confidentiality and contributing to team efforts are also key aspects of this position.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to reach with hands and arms, walk, stand, sit, kneel, and crouch.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift and carry files, documents, teller drawer, coin, etc.

Responsibilities

Serves customers by completing account transactions.
Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits.
Sells cashier’s checks, gift cards, pre-paid cards and money orders.
Answers questions in person or on telephone and refer customers to other bank services as necessary.
Records transactions by logging cashier’s checks and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.
Cross sells bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customers’ needs, and directing customers to a branch representative.
Completes special requests by opening and closing accounts, taking orders for checks, exchanging foreign currencies, completing safe-deposit box procedures, and providing special statements, copies, and referrals.
Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins.
Reconciles other transactions.
Maintains supply of cash and currency and turns in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller.
Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions, auditing other tellers’ currency, and assisting in certification of proof.
Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
