Bander Operator

About The Position

This role involves safely operating the main line conveyors, unitizer, and partition bander. The operator will ensure appropriate top sheets are in place for each unit, maintain impeccable housekeeping and machine organization during downtime and machine maintenance, and continually solve problems to reach optimum machine performance. The position also requires accurately completing quality and administrative documents, and performing other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
Basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications, division and use of a tape measure
Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times
Ability to use basic tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred
Trade School and/or advanced degree preferred
Two years or more experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
Corrugated manufacturing experience is a plus
