About The Position

As a Bakery Supervisor / Production Supervisor at our central commissary, you will work shoulder to shoulder with our production team every single day. You will lead by example on the floor, keep the team on track, and make sure every batch that leaves our kitchen meets the standard Canadians have come to expect from Demetres for over 35 years. You will report directly to the Production Manager. Requirements

  • You lead by doing, not by watching from the sidelines.
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Proven ability to motivate, guide, and hold a team accountable in a high-output setting.
  • Food Handler Certification: Required.
  • A sharp eye for quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for the duration of a shift, lifting, and working in varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work hands-on alongside the production team, contributing to daily baking, prep, and manufacturing tasks.
  • Oversee daily production schedules and ensure output targets are met on time and to standard.
  • Monitor product quality at every stage and hold the team accountable to our towards perfection quality benchmark.
  • Coach, train, and support production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Enforce food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and workplace safety procedures across the floor.
  • Track batch records, flag issues, and communicate updates to the Production Manager.
  • Identify bottlenecks, equipment concerns, or team issues and address them proactively.
