About the position

The Bakery Lead Merchandiser at Festival Foods is responsible for overseeing the Bakery department, ensuring it is well-stocked with fresh products and visually appealing displays. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, guiding the Bakery team to meet high standards and enhance the shopping experience for guests. The position requires a passion for bakery and pastry, along with strong food service skills to support the team and maintain quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce Festival culture, food service standards, and customer service expectations.
• Oversee the merchandising of the Bakery department to ensure attractive displays.
• Collaborate with the Department Manager and Bakery associates to maintain standards.
• Assist customers with finding items and taking special orders.
• Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met and maintain food safety logs.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to provide outstanding customer service and work effectively with guests and team members.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail food service, bakery, and pastry operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements and ability to apply safety training.
