The Baker is responsible for preparing fresh breads, rolls, desserts, and pastries daily in accordance with DEC and USDA guidelines. This role involves preparing and baking new products for menus on a rotating basis, such as breads, rolls, pies, cakes, cookies, and pastries. The Baker will set time and speed controls for mixing machines to ensure ingredients are mixed or cooked according to instructions. They will also maintain an adequate supply of all ingredients, ensure proper storage and refrigeration, and minimize spoilage/waste by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products. The Baker is expected to be a team player within the kitchen, assist with cleaning tasks, and treat all individuals with respect and courtesy. Adherence to Kenaitze Indian Tribes policies, procedures, and Tribal Court Codes, including reporting suspected abuse or neglect and maintaining confidentiality, is mandatory. Compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies, and TERO ordinance is also required.
