About the position

As a senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, you will shape the future of cloud-based architectures supporting critical Department of Defense (DoD) missions. Your expertise in AWS services and advanced cloud technologies will enable the seamless integration and optimization of applications across unclassified and classified environments. In this role, you'll provide specialized technical leadership to ensure cloud infrastructures are efficient, adaptable, and secure. You'll engage in strategic planning, requirements analysis, and the development of cloud architectures that protect against vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with security standards. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet technical and mission-driven requirements while driving cost-effectiveness and operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized technical leadership for cloud infrastructures.
  • Engage in strategic planning and requirements analysis.
  • Develop cloud architectures that protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with DoD AWS cloud integrations, including Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret.
  • Experience with microservices and container platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or AWS EKS.
  • Experience in hybrid deployments, including VMs, OVAs, EC2s, and containerized applications managed by Kubernetes.
  • Experience with orchestration platforms in a cloud environment, including AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, or Lambda.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, or Master's degree and 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture.
  • IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or CySA+.
  • At least two of the following certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience optimizing performance and cost-effectiveness in cloud architectures.
  • Experience with security frameworks, compliance validation, and governance processes.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of advanced networking architectures and interconnectivity solutions.
  • Possession of excellent analytical skills to support process improvement and definition of requirements.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
