About the position

The AVP-Title IX Office Case Manager for Support, Resources, and Education at the University of Pennsylvania plays a crucial role in providing supportive measures and resources to individuals affected by sex discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. This position involves collaboration with various campus partners to ensure that individuals engaged in the University's Sexual Misconduct Policy receive the necessary support and education. The Case Manager is responsible for monitoring reports, coordinating outreach efforts, and developing educational materials for the Penn community.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the AVP for Equity and Title IX Officer to offer supportive measures and resources to individuals impacted by sex discrimination and sexual misconduct.
  • Monitor incoming reports of sex discrimination, harassment, and misconduct, providing outreach to impacted parties.
  • Coordinate responses and outreach efforts with other members of the AVP-Title IX Office.
  • Develop and coordinate education and training on prevention and response to incidents of sex discrimination and sexual misconduct.
  • Provide support and education to faculty and staff serving as support advisors for individuals engaged in the University's process under the Sexual Misconduct Policy.
  • Maintain accurate case management information in the AVP-Title IX Office database and records systems.
  • Serve as a liaison with various campus partners.

Requirements

  • A master's degree with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws related to Title VII and Title IX, and experience with issues such as interpersonal violence and sexual harassment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Intermediate to advanced computing skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
