About the position
The Assistant Vice President will oversee the Investment Operations team, focusing on optimizing the collateral review and acceptance process for Global Atlantic's Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) relationships. This management role requires strong multitasking abilities and minimal supervision, ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders and enhancing operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain active relationships with partner Federal Home Loan Banks.
- Monitor the portfolio and pipeline to optimize collateral base.
- Manage the monthly position file upload process.
- Liaison between KKR deal teams, outside counsel, and document custodians to ensure timely delivery of trailing loan documents to the FHLBs.
- Oversee senior analysts responsible for regular collateral reporting to senior management.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to expedite asset pledging.
- Supervise, train, and mentor direct reports supporting the above responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- 6-10 years of work experience in financial services.
- Background in investment operations, asset management, or banking operations is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills to manage large sets of data.
- Experience communicating with senior leadership.
- Prior experience working with the Federal Home Loan Banks or other banking relationships is required.
- Experience managing direct reports across multiple workstreams.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and ability to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, energetic self-starter with a positive attitude.
