About the position

The Biologics Technical Operations lead is responsible for providing technical support to biologics sites for both commercial and pipeline products. This role involves collaboration with Biologics Manufacturing Operations leaders to ensure alignment with site needs and overall strategy, while also partnering with the Vaccines Technical Operations lead to share best practices. The position requires evolving the strategy for technical support, overseeing technology transfer, and ensuring robust performance across the Biologics portfolio. The lead will also focus on talent development and fostering an inclusive culture within the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal and external biologics sites for commercial and pipeline products.
• Partner with Biologics Manufacturing Operations leaders to align technical support with site needs.
• Collaborate with the Vaccines Technical Operations lead to share learnings and best practices.
• Evolve the strategy and operating model for technical support within the Large Molecules Science & Technology network.
• Oversee technology transfer of new and existing products across the Biologics portfolio.
• Monitor established products across the network of sites and CMO partners.
• Attract, coach, and develop talent to build a high-performing team.
• Establish partnerships with Biologics Operations leadership for seamless integration of Tech Ops/MS&T teams.

Requirements

• BS, MS or PhD in Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Science or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 20 years' experience post BS in a relevant field.
• Technical expertise in Biologics drug substance and drug product development and manufacturing.
• Experience in external manufacturing and knowledge of Biologics DS (upstream, downstream) and DP processes.
• Expertise in low bioburden and/or sterile processing.
• Experience in process sciences laboratory management.
• Demonstrated track record of applying scientific and technical knowledge to deliver business results.
