The Avionics Technician installs, inspects, tests, adjusts, or repairs avionics equipment, such as radar, communications, navigation, and instrument systems assigned CBP aircraft. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying avionics, electrical, and instrumentation systems installed on aircraft. The technician will solve complex problems by interpreting technical documents and drawings, and use specialized test equipment to perform troubleshooting and operational checks. Responsibilities include component removal, repair, installation, inspection, and operational checks, as well as calibration and replacement based on test results. The technician will also maintain aircraft logs and records and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.
