Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) is excited to announce the opening of a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Charleston, SC, scheduled to open in October 2024. We are seeking energetic and upbeat Automotive Technicians/Mechanics who possess a positive attitude and a strong passion for providing exceptional service to our customers. As a technician at CBA, you will have the opportunity to work in a modern facility equipped with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and the latest factory scan tools. You will be part of a team that values safety, cleanliness, and organization, and you will play a crucial role in delivering distinguished results to our customers. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles, ensuring that you provide full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections. You will work closely with the service department to effectively communicate customer concerns and collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently. This position offers a consistent workload, free training, and full-time live technician support, along with access to our private Technician Assistance Center. We are committed to your long-term career development and are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and fix vehicles for customers using knowledge and skills.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Communicate customer concerns effectively with the service department.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers.
  • ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve them.
  • Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles.
  • Meet or exceed hourly goals.
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with both domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces as dictated by vehicle repairs.
  • Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
