We are looking for dedicated individuals who share our passion for quality and customer service to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for examining damaged vehicles and efficiently planning the repair process. You will work closely with your colleagues to communicate the status of vehicle repairs and ensure that quality standards are met while maintaining on-time delivery. Your decision-making skills will be crucial as you assess whether to repair or replace parts, always considering safety, cost, and cycle time. You will also be involved in the hands-on aspects of repair, including removing upholstery and accessories to access vehicle components, as well as using power and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces. Participation in safety meetings is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. Additionally, you may be required to direct the work of apprentices, providing guidance on unusual problems and explaining procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
  • Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
  • Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
  • Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
  • Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
  • Participates in all required safety meetings.
  • Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
  • Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.

Requirements

  • Certification in body repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
  • I-CAR welding certified.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
  • Ability to supervise repair personnel.
  • Must be able to pass thorough background check.
