About the position

The Automotive Service Advisor/Writer is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in an automotive repair environment. This role involves greeting customers, documenting their concerns, scheduling appointments, providing repair estimates, coordinating with technicians, and processing payments. The advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and the efficient operation of the service department.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
  • Schedule appointments for tire service, suspension repairs, brake repairs, and other automotive services
  • Provide estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments
  • Maintain accurate records of customer information and service history

Requirements

  • Must have more than 10 years of experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of tire service, shocks and struts, brake repair, auto body repair, diesel engine repair, alignment, air brakes, and transmission is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
