About the position

The Automotive Internet Sales Manager at LaFontaine Chevrolet Plymouth is responsible for managing the Internet Sales Team, responding to internet sales leads, and selling automobiles by demonstrating their features and capabilities. This role involves frequent communication with potential customers, data entry tasks, and overseeing the performance of the sales team to ensure effective sales processes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Internet Sales Team and conduct coaching and performance reviews.
  • Recruit and hire for Internet sales positions.
  • Serve as the lead liaison to the Business Development Center (BDC).
  • Field questions and handle higher priority leads.
  • Communicate inventory availability and ordering lead times.
  • Monitor Internet appointments and reassign if necessary.
  • Review individual and store closing percentages weekly and communicate results.
  • Monitor response time and communication logs.
  • Reconcile daily sold logs with Vin Solutions to ensure accurate input of sales and leads.
  • Identify and input missing leads, ensuring bad and lost leads are marked appropriately.
  • Coordinate with BDC Manager and train new Business Development Representatives (BDRs) on handling internet leads.
  • Conduct quarterly training sessions with new BDRs.
  • Provide recommendations to improve processes and closing percentages to the General Manager.
  • Directly sell new and used vehicles according to the standard salesperson sale plan.
  • Maintain appropriate Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Experience in automotive sales.
