About The Position

The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing high-valued auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. This role involves dismantling and removing hybrid batteries, catalytic converters, airbags, and other parts efficiently from vehicles. The position also includes staging high-value cores/parts for vendor or customer pickups, responding to customer countersales by receiving orders, pulling products, and taking them to the sales counter. Depending on the needs of the role, the Dismantler may be required to operate a forklift and load trucks, maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas, and meet productivity guidelines. Additionally, they may use a handheld or similar device to enter information and generate reports, and must comply with established company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must have hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Must complete required training.
• Necessary tools will be provided as needed.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Follows standard procedures with little decision making involved.
• Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.
• Must be able to use hand and electric tools.

• High School Diploma/GED.
