About the position

The Automation Manager at Volk Enterprises, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the Automation Department, ensuring the maintenance and troubleshooting of automation machinery, and coordinating with the production team to meet operational goals. This role involves both technical and mechanical responsibilities, including programming changes for PLCs, maintaining machinery, and providing documentation for repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automation department
• Maintain and troubleshoot automation machines
• Coordinate with production team to meet goals
• Requisition raw materials
• Make adjustments to machine programs
• Assist in building maintenance and maintenance in other departments
• Keep records and conduct internal audits for BRC standard.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate plus 2 years of experience working with PCL controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives
• Fluently read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Skilled in the use of programmable logic controllers (mostly Allen Bradley)
• Knowledge of motor control and automated control circuits
• Skilled in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
• Knowledge of HMI, SCADA and computer network communication systems
• Knowledge of plant maintenance
