About The Position

Our Automation and Controls Engineers/Specialists develop and implement solutions to optimize production processes, improve plant safety, product quality, and production throughput. They are responsible for controls standards, PLC/HMI programming, equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting of control system issues and project support. This state-of-the-art facility has the longest continuous press in North America, giving us the ability to produce a diverse range of innovative products for customers around the world.

Requirements

  • A qualified Trades Certification with relevant experience, an Engineering degree, or an Engineering Technical Diploma.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (forest products manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience with PLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred).
  • Experience with Human Machine Interfaces.
  • Proficient with FactoryTalk software (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.).
  • Experience with industrial machine automation.

  • Be available for after-hours support on a rotational basis.
