About the position

The Automated Software Tester will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of automated testing scripts for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems. This position involves supporting various stages of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that products are scalable, maintainable, and meet user needs while collaborating effectively with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment
  • Develop scripts for automated testing
  • Perform post-test/log analysis and support the development of the associated documentation
  • Conduct analysis and resolution of off-nominal results
  • Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction
  • Apply 'systems thinking' to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs
  • Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
  • 2 years of related experience, capped at 5 years
  • Python programming and script development
  • Experience utilizing Linux
  • Current and/or prior Test automation experience and a willingness to complete Test Automation tasks full-time
  • Some exposure to development languages such as C, C++, Java
  • Ability to support an in-person/closed-area work environment full time
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
  • Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition
  • Automated Test Tool experience (i.e., Eggplant)
  • Proficiency utilizing Eggplant
  • Knowledge of various scripting languages and tools: MATLAB, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices
  • Security+ Certification
