About the position
The Automated Firmware Test Engineer will support device hardware and firmware, focusing on quality assurance for various product lines. This role involves automating manual test cases, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with multiple internal teams to enhance product quality. The engineer will work primarily with networking protocols and communication devices, ensuring data integrity and timely transmission.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for Device Hardware and Firmware
- Support manufacturing teams with quality issues and stop-ship scenarios
- Represent Support in CAPA meetings
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of customer issues and document resolutions
- Interface with Product Management, Core Engineering, and Technical Management Office to drive quality improvements
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Scripting knowledge with Python, Bash, etc.
- Experience with Robot Framework
- Experience with C/C++
- Working experience with Linux and networking protocols
- Experience in both manual and automation testing
- Familiarity with networking standards and protocols (IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP)
