About the position
The CAD Drafter/Designer position at Actalent involves utilizing CAD software to create technical drawings that support various engineering departments. Responsibilities
- Utilize CAD software to draft and design technical drawings.
- Process field survey data to generate base maps for engineering design.
- Collaborate with CAD team members, project managers, and project engineers to understand the scope of work, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D/MicroStation.
- Understanding of terminology like grading, slope, steep slope, and municipal codes.
- Hands-on experience in civil land development, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- 1-5 years of experience in civil land development, design, and drafting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with piping design.
- Comfortable working with Civil 3D software.
- Strong understanding of the land development process.
