About the position
The Parts Inventory Specialist at R&H Spring and Truck Repair is responsible for managing the inventory of auto and truck parts, ensuring accurate stock levels, and facilitating the distribution of parts to the service department. This full-time role requires a proactive approach to inventory management and collaboration with team members to support service operations.
Responsibilities
- Determine stock levels and reorder parts as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies.
- Manage the distribution of parts and supplies to the service department.
- Assist team members in selecting required parts.
- Pull parts for the service department.
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or materials needing immediate attention.
- Notify the service department when special ordered parts are received.
- Pull special orders for delivery to the service department, ensuring all parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.
- Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and return items to vendors or stock.
- Replenish assigned inventory weekly.
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service orders.
- Issue and track requested shop tools to technicians.
Requirements
- General auto/truck parts knowledge.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Willingness to learn.
