About the position
The Auto Finance Manager will be responsible for presenting financing options to car buyers and supporting the sales team at a successful dealership. This role requires building relationships with lending agencies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and implementing financial policies to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in finance and insurance management within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all car loans and leases meet financial regulations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with lending agencies to secure competitive interest rates.
- Conducting account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assessing car buyer needs before presenting them with appropriate auto finance plans.
- Supporting the auto sales manager during each vehicle purchase and leveraging opportunities to offer aftermarket products, service contracts, and insurance programs.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- At least two years of experience in dealership finance and insurance (F&I) or sales.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while providing strategic financial guidance.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools to analyze data effectively.
- Strong knowledge of revenue management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a dealership salesman or in sales management.
