About the position
The AutoCAD Drafter at The Laurel Group will be responsible for drafting landscape projects, including planting and hardscape designs, in collaboration with senior design and sales staff. This role emphasizes strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the creation of detailed and accurate drawings that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and other design software
- Collaborate with sales and architects to understand project requirements
- Prepare construction drawings, schematics, layouts, and blueprints
- Ensure drawings adhere to project specifications and industry standards
- Review designs for errors and make necessary modifications
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to draft technical drawings accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid Driver's License
Nice-to-haves
- Use of Photoshop
- Knowledge of construction techniques

- Ability to proofread and check own work for accuracy
