About the position
The Attractions Technician at Boomers Park is responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance inspections on various attractions and equipment. This role requires a highly organized individual who is passionate about ensuring the safety and functionality of amusement park attractions. The technician will contribute to the maintenance team by executing repairs, conducting inspections, and adhering to safety standards, all while being part of a fast-growing company that values employee input and impact.
Responsibilities
- Perform required basic facility and/or maintenance repairs on all attractions.
- Perform maintenance and repair of small engines and electronic parts.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance as required.
- Review and act on all manufacturer safety bulletins in a timely manner.
- Ensure all attraction ride speeds are set to company and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform tasks in accordance with ASTM safety standards.
- Document in logbooks for completion of inspections, corrective actions, and repairs made.
- Respond timely to calls for maintenance checks and attractions shut down; diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs.
- Demonstrate courtesy and accountability in all situations.
- Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager, Director of Maintenance, and/or other members of management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two years of maintenance and/or mechanical experience required.
- Working knowledge of small engines and mechanical devices.
- Valid driver license required.
- Welding Certification or Contractors License is a plus.
- AIMS, NAARSO, IAAPA, or other industry certifications is a plus.
