About the position

The Attorney/Rainmaker position is a hybrid sales role focused on expanding the client base for a legal services firm. The role involves both phone and in-person sales, requiring the candidate to connect with potential clients, explain services, and build lasting relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, preferably in legal or professional services, and will be responsible for client acquisition, relationship building, and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and attract new clients through various outreach methods, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources such as Real Estate Attorneys, Foreclosure Attorneys, and Banks.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to create and implement strategies for client expansion in the New York market.
  • Represent the business at industry conferences, networking events, and community meetings to increase visibility and attract new clients.
  • Stay updated on local market trends, competitors, and opportunities to ensure competitiveness in client acquisition and retention.
  • Utilize various sales techniques to generate and manage a pipeline of potential clients and referral sources.
  • Assist the office team in managing the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth handoff from initial contact to in-office communication.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, client acquisition efforts, and pipeline status to the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition, preferably within the legal field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and build long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Real Estate and/or Process Serving is a plus, but not required.
