About the position
LMI is seeking a government contracts attorney with at least 2-5 years of in-house or law firm experience to join its dynamic Law Department. The LMI Law Department works closely with all areas of the Company to help achieve LMI's business objectives while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. This position will report to LMI's General Counsel and will serve as LMI's primary government contracts attorney. LMI is a private government consulting firm, dedicated exclusively to advancing the management of the government. Responsibilities
- Providing strategic counsel and support of LMI's pursuit and performance of federal contracts
- Managing bid protests (with outside counsel)
- Advising on contract claims
- Negotiating business agreements
- Handling export controls
- Ensuring ethics and compliance
- Conducting internal investigations and training
- Advising on mergers and acquisitions
Requirements
- Experience in all aspects of government contracts law, including FAR, DFARS, federal procurement statutes and regulations
- Juris Doctor degree
- Barred in at least one state
- Ability to qualify as Virginia Corporate Counsel certificate
- 2-5 years of in-house or law firm experience
