About the position

The Athletics Coach/Instructor position at Amazing Athletes involves teaching children aged 2 to 5 the fundamentals of various sports in a fun, engaging, and non-competitive environment. The role focuses on promoting physical development and healthy lifestyles through sports while ensuring a positive experience for young athletes. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work primarily in the mornings.

Responsibilities

• Teach children ages 2 to 5 the fundamentals of 10 different sports.
• Engage children in fast-paced and fun classes.
• Promote gross motor development and nutrition education.
• Maintain good relationships with daycare teachers, directors, and parents.
• Travel to different locations around the Wilmington/Newark area for classes.

Requirements

• Must be available Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
• Experience working with children aged 2 to 5 (professional experience preferred).
• Experience in playing and/or teaching sports or fitness.
• Must have a big personality to engage children effectively.
• Dependable transportation is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to submit to a clean criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sports coaching (1 year preferred).
• Experience in early childhood education (1 year preferred).
