About the position
The Moreno Valley Unified School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Boys Assistant Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and training to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes. Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices.
- Support the development of student-athletes in skills and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and training requirements.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team environment.
Requirements
- Current CPR and First Aid Card (online certificates not accepted).
- NFHS or ASEP - Fundamentals or Principles of Coaching certification.
- Training in Concussion in Sports, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Heat Illness Prevention.
- Certificate copy for Concussion in Sports and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses.
- Proof of CA State test for ASEP or NFHS CIF Certificate.
