About the position

The Associate Vice President of Health Value Operations at Altais Health Solutions is a senior leadership role responsible for the design, development, operational planning, and governance of medical cost management programs. This position aims to improve healthcare experiences and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality care. The role involves collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the organization's operational strategy.
  • Analyze market trends and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to manage and reduce the cost of care while maintaining high quality for patients.
  • Develop field-based medical cost management programs to contain inpatient and institutional costs.
  • Understand community health needs to drive the development of programs and services.
  • Establish key performance measures to manage ROI of field-based programs.
  • Oversee performance of inpatient care management and related programs as per contractual guidelines.
  • Coordinate quality initiatives and activate enterprise and local policies.
  • Execute on standards and customize per local requirements while partnering with COEs.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and mitigate risks.
  • Regularly review and report on operational performance, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Lead organizational culture and change in alignment with the mission and vision of Altais.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure buy-in for operational strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience in healthcare.
  • Proven experience in a strategic operations or leadership role.
