About the position

The Associate Team Leader at H&R Block plays a crucial role in supporting a retail tax office during the busy tax season. This position involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional client service, and leading a team of tax office associates. The role requires a flexible schedule, transitioning from part-time in December to full-time from January through April, with a focus on meeting client expectations and maintaining service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Multi-Unit Team Leader as the onsite point of contact for tax office associates and clients.
  • Ensure quality and consistent execution of service standards and client service experience.
  • Serve as the point of contact for escalated client service concerns.
  • Manage client scheduling and resolve conflicts, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure tax office associates are scheduled and work is completed on time.
  • Conduct daily huddles and communicate essential information to office associates.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day office operations.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in work schedule.
