About the position

The Associate Team Leader at H&R Block in Glendale, AZ, is responsible for supporting a retail tax office during the busy tax season. This role involves ensuring exceptional client service, managing daily operations, and leading a team of tax office associates. The position requires a flexible schedule starting part-time in December and transitioning to full-time from January through April.

Responsibilities

• Support the Multi-Unit Team Leader as the onsite point of contact for tax office associates and clients.
• Ensure quality execution of service standards and client service experience by all tax office associates.
• Serve as the point of contact for escalated client service concerns.
• Manage client scheduling and resolve conflicts, escalating issues as necessary.
• Lead the office operations from the front desk, providing phone coverage and engaging with clients.
• Oversee daily activities to ensure associates are scheduled and work is completed on time and to quality standards.
• Conduct daily huddles to communicate essential information to office associates.

Requirements

• Prior experience in customer service or a similar role.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage day-to-day office operations.
• Customer-centric mindset with strong communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and flexibility in work schedule.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
