About the position

Fenwick & West is seeking a Securities Litigation associate to join its Securities Litigation Group, which handles a variety of civil and regulatory matters for corporate and individual clients. The role involves representing issuers and their directors in securities class actions, derivative suits, and other disputes, as well as engaging in internal investigations and regulatory defense. This position offers associates the opportunity to litigate for leading technology and life sciences companies and manage complex investigatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent issuers and their directors in securities class actions and derivative suits.
• Handle merger litigation and other civil actions related to securities disputes.
• Engage in internal investigations related to allegations of accounting fraud and whistleblower claims.
• Defend companies and individuals in DOJ and SEC investigations and regulatory proceedings.
• Work closely with audit and special committees during investigations.

Requirements

• At least four (4+) years of relevant experience in securities litigation.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Barred in the state of the office applying for or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
