About the position

Are you passionate about Product Management in FinTech? Do you enjoy and have experience exploring and understanding customer needs and problems to come up with value-add solutions? If you have a track record of driving product success, you apply user-center design practices to the creative process of ideating on new products that solve customer needs and have a robust level of alternative financial service offerings. Then it's time to join Western Union's Retail Product team as Associate Product Manager. In this role you will work creating or improving solutions for our Agents as a member of the Global Retail Product team. You will contribute to building best-in-class experience for the Agents who help us run our retail business.

Responsibilities

  • Use digital tools and metrics to identify user needs, discover how needs impact agent/user experiences and business outcomes and observe user interactions to drive the definition and enablement of the user experience.
  • Provide tactical roadmap updates on features and contribute to target state design requirements and business case development within narrow scope.
  • Manage backlog, processes, and release plan, own and write features and stories and resolve issues.
  • As owner of a Product, define basic iteration and test plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Understand stakeholder communication plan and establish relationships with partners.
  • Provides guidance to engineering teams on the implementation of features and own end to end of the feature build and go to market.
  • Define key performance indicators and partner with analytics team to measure success.
  • Understand product alternatives and work with multi-disciplined team to understand trade-offs and put value on alternatives.
  • Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality.
  • Work with UI/UX teams to bring engaging user experiences to life.
  • Lead in-house teams using agile scrum methodology drafting business requirements, prioritizing features, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating with scrum team members to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications.
  • Provide ongoing analysis on product effectiveness using a data driven approach.
  • Coordinate with our global operations and marketing teams to ensure a successful GTM execution.

Requirements

  • Previous working experience as an Associate Product Manager 2+ years Financial Services, preferably B2B.
  • Technical background, with experience partnering with engineers.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong business writing, numerical analysis, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving, get things done attitude and self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail and a penchant for understanding problems and creating great best possible experience.
  • Ability to break down complex experiences into simple documents, stories, and flows.
  • Experience in developing user flows and collaboration Diagrams.
  • Experience with customer research and usability testing methodologies.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders/teams in a global environment: different countries, time zones and cultural backgrounds.
  • Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies.
