About The Position

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, working between 6 am and 8:00 pm, with 0-32 hours weekly. The role is located at West Hospital and supports the Nutrition Services department. The primary responsibilities involve preparing, plating, serving, and transporting food and supplies to ensure high satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. This includes ensuring timely, accurate, and courteous service, adhering to sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices for food safety, and operating various food service and computer equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing (gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear).
  • Adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements for food production.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Physical requirements include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Prior food service experience.
