About the position
The Associate Field Service Technician - Demand at ABB is responsible for executing service work in accordance with ABB's standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. This role focuses on delivering quality customer service, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that service activities are performed efficiently and effectively. The position requires a strong sense of urgency and care in handling responsibilities, contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division.
Responsibilities
- Perform entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
- Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
- Execute work on a first-time right approach with customers, ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards.
- Troubleshoot simple equipment failures and make recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of professional work experience required.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% as required.
- Experience with system Network maintenance.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
