About The Position

The Associate Electrical Engineer, NI is responsible for the design and application of solutions using engineering fundamentals and established practices, procedures, and guidelines. The position will engage and be a critical link in the project life cycle, providing technical support, task management, delivery, and innovation in the areas of electrical engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Electrical, Computer, or a closely related field – Required.
  • 0 - 2 years experience in the elevator industry or similar industry.
  • Strong interpersonal Communication Skills (Verbal and Written, Technical Report Writing).
  • Communicate effectively with all internal engineering teams, engineering management (internal escalation), and customers.
  • Maintains positive and professional attitude in a highly demanding environment.
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Office, SAP.
  • Knowledge of Electrical System Design and Analysis.
  • Travel 10% domestic

Responsibilities

  • Workload Management: Effectively manage a large workload of projects with predefined contract requirements. Meet and exceed Service Level Agreement requirements.
  • Deliverable Management: Accomplish specified technical objectives on time and to customers’ expectations.
  • Engineering Excellence: Deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that deliver meaningful customer value and create impactful experiences.
  • Perform Application Engineering activities.
  • Develop and finalize system designs, calculations, and component selections using engineering fundamentals, applicable codes, and company standards.
  • Apply established technical solutions and modify designs to meet project-specific requirements, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical topics across design, manufacturing, and installation to ensure reliable outcomes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to meet contract requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute engineering tasks to ensure timely completion of drawings, submittals, change orders, and release-to-manufacturing.
  • Maintain accountability for the accuracy, quality, and completeness of all technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Support the project lifecycle by aligning engineering solutions with project objectives and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, field operations, and manufacturing teams to drive successful execution.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and proactively resolve issues to ensure a positive internal and external customer experience.
