About the position

This role focuses on supporting the corporate sustainability program at ORIX USA Group, assisting with various tasks and projects related to sustainable investment strategies. The position involves maintaining sustainability governance, facilitating internal engagement, conducting sustainability research, managing data collection and reporting tools, and overseeing external communications related to sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce sustainability governance and policies.
  • Support the Head of Sustainability Group in updating policies to meet regulatory and market conditions.
  • Monitor and assess the quality of sustainability scorecards by deal teams.
  • Oversee sustainability assessments during supplier/vendor onboarding.
  • Address governance and policy requests from Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit functions.
  • Draft materials and minutes for internal sustainability engagement meetings.
  • Discuss updates on markets, sustainability trends, and best practices.
  • Monitor and support the implementation of sustainability goals across business lines.
  • Conduct sustainability research and develop training programs.
  • Maintain the sustainability intranet as a resource hub for employees.
  • Oversee upgrades of the internal sustainability dashboard.
  • Manage the quality of sustainability data collection and reporting tools.
  • Support maintenance of sustainability-related communications and external engagements.
  • Assist with ad-hoc project management for sustainable investment strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in sustainability project management at an investment bank, large commercial bank, large asset manager, or large investor.
  • Completion of a formal sustainability training program is a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related subject.
  • In-depth understanding of asset management business, private credit, private equity, and real estate investments.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Motivated, self-starter, and team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as part of a high-performance team.
