About the position

The Associate Director, Supply Chain Security for Latin America is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of strategic and tactical operations to ensure the secure movement of COMPANY products and materials. This role focuses on protecting patient safety by securing the supply chain against threats such as theft, product diversion, and unauthorized activities. The position serves as the primary regional liaison for supply chain security matters and requires collaboration across various functions to enhance security measures and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of COMPANY's global Supply Chain Security Strategy in the Latin America region.
  • Implement and manage a proactive Supply Chain Security strategy focused on incident prevention.
  • Manage regional execution of security risk assessments to monitor internal and external security performance.
  • Identify and enhance protection for high-value supply chain operations and products.
  • Measure and report supply chain security performance in collaboration with Regional Security leads.
  • Study and assess technology solutions to mitigate supply chain security risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to Supply Chain Security events.
  • Manage communications related to regional supply chain security and disseminate information within Global Security.
  • Support the development and execution of supply chain security policies and standards.
  • Manage compliance with government trade security programs such as CTPAT and AEO.
  • Cultivate relationships to support internal and external engagement for supply chain security matters.
  • Serve as the Regional point of contact for Global Security regarding Controlled Substance Compliance.
  • Support the development and delivery of global Supply Chain Security training materials.
  • Maintain a network of contacts in government, law enforcement, and security for collaboration on supply chain security matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years' professional security experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • General understanding of pharmaceutical operations and related supply chains, including regulatory security requirements.
  • Understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Experience leading and conducting investigations, including generating case reports for enforcement actions.
  • Knowledge of physical security principles and security risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office software and presentation tools.
  • Experience preparing briefing materials and reports for senior management and government officials.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-performing environment with an aggressive workload.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment with exceptional collaboration skills.
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
