About the position
The Associate Director of Secured Research Computing at the University of Utah will lead the strategic direction for secured research computing, ensuring compliance with data security regulations and fostering a collaborative environment. This role is pivotal in shaping the university's cyberinfrastructure to support secured research initiatives, providing leadership, resource planning, and faculty support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of university-wide secured research cyberinfrastructure and governance.
- Communicate needs and directions with senior leadership and faculty.
- Ensure compliant implementation of State and Federal data security regulations and policies.
- Manage and oversee DoD CMMC 2.0 compliant secured computing enclaves and assessments/certifications.
- Oversee university-wide NSPM-33 data security implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or related area.
- Eight years of progressively more responsible management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills.
