About the position

The Associate Cloud Consultant, Data Analytics role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves collaborating with customers and partners to deliver technical solutions in data analytics, AI, and machine learning. This position is part of the AWS Professional Services team, focusing on career development for early-career professionals. The role includes significant travel and requires hands-on experience with AWS data services and programming languages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects and technical workshops.
  • Support implementation projects focusing on data and analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners and customers to leverage AWS offerings such as Amazon Kinesis, AWS Glue, and Amazon SageMaker.
  • Assist customers in removing constraints to leverage their data for business insights.
  • Create white papers, blogs, and demos for customer use.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Service Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (conferral date between May 2023 to May 2025).
  • 1+ years of hands-on programming experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience in data platform implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with building data or machine learning pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, Data Lake, DynamoDB, or Hadoop.
  • Current experience with Kinesis, Kafka, or Spark implementations.
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Math.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with large-scale data science projects.
  • Experience implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Experience in defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility.
  • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Associate or Data Analytics Specialty.
