About the position

As an Associate Actuary within the Retirement Income Solutions (RIS) team, you will play a crucial role in leading and advancing financial risk management. This position involves ongoing hedge execution, asset-liability management (ALM) oversight, and collaboration with various product teams to ensure effective management of financial risks. You will be responsible for promoting and executing hedging and financial risk programs, providing expertise on economic impacts, and reporting progress to management stakeholders. Your role will also include advocating for efficient actuarial processes and monitoring financial risks proactively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance financial risk management within the RIS team.
• Execute ongoing hedge programs and oversee ALM processes.
• Collaborate with product teams to manage financial risks effectively.
• Report hedge program progress to management stakeholders.
• Build influence across the organization to integrate financial risks into decision-making.
• Monitor, engage, and mitigate financial risks proactively.
• Review and implement updates to risk management processes.
• Advocate for the development of efficient actuarial processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Enrolled Actuary designation.
• 6+ years of actuarial work experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and Actuarial Standards of Practice.
