About the position

The Assistant Toddler Teacher at Tiny Treasures Day Care is responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for preschool children. This role involves implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering development through play-based learning, and maintaining effective communication with parents about their child's progress. The teacher will ensure a safe and organized classroom while collaborating with other staff to enhance the learning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities for preschool children.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress.
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with toddlers in a daycare or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Strong classroom management skills to create a structured and engaging learning environment.
  • Ability to multitask and handle the needs of multiple children simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Educate children through interactive and hands-on activities.
  • Experience in childcare services.
  • Classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and order in the classroom.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of students with varying abilities.
