About the position
The Assistant Toddler Teacher at Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center is responsible for supporting the lead teacher in delivering a high-quality early childhood educational experience. This role involves following the center's curriculum, providing developmentally appropriate activities, assessing children's progress, and maintaining communication with parents. The position emphasizes a commitment to early childhood development and adherence to licensing regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and duties.
- Follow the curriculum and philosophy of the center.
- Provide developmentally appropriate and stimulating activities for toddlers.
- Assess children's progress and needs regularly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or an Associate's degree with Child Development Associate Certification.
- Understanding of early childhood development principles.
- Completion of required ODJFS training courses (First Aid, Child Abuse, CPR, Communicable Disease).
- 30 hours of approved Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) training every 2 years.
Nice-to-haves
