About the position

The Assistant Teacher position at KinderCare Learning Centers is designed for individuals who are passionate about shaping young minds and inspiring preschoolers. This role involves creating a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow, implementing a nationally recognized curriculum, and fostering meaningful relationships with children, families, and team members. The position offers training opportunities, making it suitable for those who may not have prior experience in childcare.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support the center's success by collaborating with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Implement KCE's curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to engage in physical activity with children and assume postures to maintain visual contact with them.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate effectively with children and parents.

Nice-to-haves
