About the position
The Assistant Superintendent will aid the job superintendent in coordinating all construction activities on the job site. This role involves supervising field personnel as required and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining conformance to design drawings, specifications, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Scope Review
- Determine manpower requirements for work areas
- Receive, unload, and store Company and Owner furnished materials
- Perform inspections and maintain documentation of work quality
- Enforce safety requirements on the job site
- Oversee equipment maintenance and safety checks
- Communicate assignments and supervise field personnel
Requirements
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy construction work
- Ability to read and comprehend design drawings
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Ability to travel and work overtime (may include nights and weekends)
- Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check
