Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State of Michigan driver's license and insurable driving record
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with developmentally disabled or catastrophically injured individuals, including those with traumatic brain injuries preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with resident care and support

Responsibilities

  • Attend team meetings, review incident reports, and communicate resident or staff concerns to leadership as needed
  • Support, train, and mentor direct care staff to promote quality care and resident growth and independence
  • Provide new hire orientation and ongoing staff training to ensure compliance with company policies and care standards
  • Coordinate resident appointments, transportation, and appointment preparation as needed
  • Maintain accurate medication documentation and ensure medications are administered and reconciled in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations
  • Coordinate with pharmacies and medical providers to ensure prescriptions and medication records remain current and accurate
  • Assist with meal planning, grocery budgeting, and household organization
  • Monitor and support the emotional and physical well-being of residents while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
  • Maintain program cleanliness, organization, and professionalism to promote a welcoming, home-like atmosphere
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
