Assistant Project Manager
About The Position
The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its Real Estate Development Team. This role will support the development of a pipeline of over 20 projects and approximately 1500 units of affordable housing. The team focuses on creative development of new affordable housing and preservation of existing assets, embedding an innovative spirit to address the affordable housing shortage in Santa Clara County. The division prioritizes housing for extremely low-income individuals and families, using a resident-centered approach that leverages real estate capacity, staff talent, and community partnerships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of previous experience developing affordable housing using Federal and State funding sources
- Experience with pro formas and financial model analysis
- Experience reviewing and negotiating real estate development transactional documents
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of a pipeline of affordable housing projects.
- Contribute to the creative development of new affordable housing.
- Support the preservation of existing affordable housing assets.
- Work on a variety of projects including new construction, renovation, rehabilitation, repurposing of commercial properties, and master planning for affordable housing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners through the project lifecycle.
- Engage in problem-solving related to affordable housing development.
