About the position

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management to begin in August 2025. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching, possess a strong background in supply chain management, and are committed to research and leadership within the academic community. The role emphasizes active learning and collaboration with industry partners, aligning with the university's mission to prepare career-ready graduates.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain Management, Business, and Operations Management.
• Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessments of student learning.
• Contribute to academic program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes in collaboration with faculty and staff.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Technology, Business Administration (MBA) or closely related field by employment start date.
• Five (5) years of management/leadership experience spanning multiple areas of the supply chain.
• Commitment to student success.

Nice-to-haves

• ABD or PhD in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Technology, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years of combined teaching and/or industry training experience.
• Professional certification with supply chain related organizations such as CSCMP, ISM, APICS, PMI, ASQ, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in statistical and modeling tools (i.e. R, SPSS, Arena, Excel Solver, etc.).
