About the position

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking a dedicated individual for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science Department. Responsibilities

  • Teach an average of 12 credit hours of coursework each semester, including courses in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Involve undergraduate students in research and curriculum development.
  • Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessments of student learning.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and service to the department and university as assigned by the department chair.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field by the employment start date.
  • Record of scholarly activity or industry experience in Machine Learning.
  • Interest in teaching undergraduate courses at a primarily undergraduate institution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Coursework, teaching, or curriculum development in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Interest in involving undergraduate students in research.
